A Message from the Founder, Ayman: The Story of Time4Maths

The Idea
The spark for Time4Maths ignited in 2014. I set a simple goal: to tutor just four students each week. Little did I know, this small dream would turn into something much bigger.
For me, Maths has always been more than just numbers—it’s a part of who I am. It’s not just a subject; it’s a passion I’ve always enjoyed and loved, thanks to my engineering background. Teaching Maths became like a hobby, something I was meant to share with others. 😁

Overcoming Challenges: From French Degrees to Mastering the NSW Syllabus
The road wasn’t easy. I've been working as an engineer since 2006, but my passion for tutoring has always been strong, even though I completed all my degrees overseas and to make it even more challenging, I finished my degrees entirely in French. When I decided to help students in Australia, I knew I’d have to teach myself the NSW syllabus from scratch—everything from Year 7 to Year 12, including Extension 1 and 2. I spent three months learning not just the content, but all the terminology in English. It was tough, but with hard work and faith, Alhamdulillah, everything fell into place.

The Journey Begins
In early 2015, Time4Maths was born. The start was tough—finding my first student felt like climbing a mountain. I didn’t have local experience and I'm not a qualified teacher. But I believed in myself and my ability to make a difference. I’ll never forget the struggle to find my very first student—and how much more challenging it was that my first student was an HSC student, Ella.
Once I began teaching Ella, everything clicked. From the very first lesson, she was thrilled. She told me that my way of explaining things was so unique, so simple, and so easy to understand. Her words gave me the confidence I needed to keep going.

A Decade of Growth: From Home Visits to the Recent Thriving Centre
Over the last 10 years, it’s been an incredible journey. It feels like just yesterday we were doing home visits for the first three years, then moving to a small garage for the next three. Those early days are precious memories. Today, we’ve grown into a beautiful new space on Stanley St., four times bigger than our previous one. This growth is a testament to the trust, love, and support we’ve received from our community.

Time4Maths: A Personal Journey from Maths to Every Subject
People often ask, “Why call it Time4Maths when you teach all subjects?” The truth is, the idea to expand and cover other subjects came from our parents and community. After a few years, they encouraged us to branch out into other subjects. The name Time4Maths will always be deeply personal to us, which is why we’ve kept it. Thankfully, our community understands that we now offer tutoring for all subjects, from K to Year 12.

Beyond the Books: The True Secret of Time4Maths’ Success
So, what’s the secret to Time4Maths’ success? Honestly, there’s no secret—it’s all a blessing from Allah. The key is simple: we teach from the heart before the book.
You don’t need to be a qualified teacher to carry this immense responsibility. You are shaping an entire ummah, raising the future leaders of tomorrow. It's not just about imparting knowledge - it’s about touching the students' hearts before their minds.
At Time4Maths, our tutors, students, and parents are more than just a community— we are one family. And it’s that deep, genuine connection, the care that goes beyond words, that truly sets us apart.
